Yes, it is very easy to price match at our walmart. I will have to say that I bet each walmart's customer service is different. At our walmart, even if you forget the ad, they have a little customer service place where a supervisor stands and all sunday ads are placed there (meaning, if you forget your ad, just ask them if they have copies). Anyway, at the checkout, just leave the price matched items for last. Then, tell the cashier that you would like to pricematch that item. She/he will call the supervisor over, look at the ad, and okay it. Very easy... I have not priced food though. I usually do school items or big items. Even if it takes a couple of extra minutes for the supervisor, it is less time and gas than traveling to that other store AND it will save money. I am not sure if they will offer the bogo deals; I think it is just basically price matching.

Oh, and another thing, if you are ever buying anything at Walmart (or most places), if you see even a little flaw, just ask the cashier if they can take a percentage off since it is flawed. Again, a supervisor will come over and typically approve it. My son wanted some shoes at Walmart the other day, but it had a scuff on it. Now, we would probably have that same scuff on it later that day, but we asked for a discount anyway, and they gave us 10 percent off. Some people are better with haggling; I am not one of those people.

Does Kroger price match? We haven't had a kroger in almost 5 years (since we moved South), but I thought they price matched too. I also thought they have coupons online that load on your kroger card.

    Hope this helps!
Thanks SO much, Regina! That was incredibly helpful.
Thinking about it now, I can picture the various store ads hanging at the checkout counters. I guess I never put two and two together.
And when it comes to haggling, you and I sound pretty similar. I'm such a wimp when it comes down to it. My husband, on the other hand, has no problem with it. I'm always saying to him, "Hey go see if... (fill in the blank.)"
    Wuss.
You know, I think you're absolutely right about Kroger. I'll have to check into that. The coupons online thing would be extremely handy.
    Thanks, again!

Oh, and if anyone is out and about shopping, I am still looking for a good price on photo boxes and 24 count colored pencils.

    Thanks!

I'm sure you have plenty f time and energy to shop this weekend, Regina--just saw soem crazy prices on little stuff (Tug brand) like pencil sharpeners .10, and clear plastic zip things (pencil cases? what do I know about what kids use in school these days??) for a nickel. Office Depot (not known for great prices on my kinda stuff like printer ink....) Anyway--thought I'd mention it--ooodles of bins of stuff that looked like low$

I am actually finished! Yeah! School starts September for us, but the only things I have to buy are school belts and socks. The kids have their bags packed and their school supplies in their photo boxes ready to go!

I will still be stocking up if I am out and about and see some deals. I have an entire dresser in our garage filled with extra school supplies for when they run-out. I can't stand getting a note home saying that they need a glue stick by tomorrow. Then, I have to run out and pay full price (gasp)! So, I bought a lot of extras this time.

I wish I could be organized with all parts of my life, but one thing at a time, I guess!
