| Admin/Owner ![]() | a new kitty - that is... Ohhh - had you going there didn't I?! haha we haven't named her yet.. the name on her tag at petsmart was Squirt.. but she doesn't really seem like a squirt.. she's a definate love me cat but also very playful which is just Purrfect!! she's half calico, half tortie (i think)... so far - only the name buttons comes to mind... I'll get a photo up as soon as I can (probably over at jetcareers.com first since this weboard doesn't have the image capability it has over there - still working on getting hte new board up!) My other cats are pretty weird about it.. My Sasha whose 3 thinks it's no big deal really cuz she's used to kitty in the household (probably remember when we got sprite and brought her home to meet sasha).. but Sprite - man, complete 180! hissing, growling and for some reason, going after sasha (as if it's her fault NOT!).. so we've been trying to get out her aggression thru playtime and get her used to new kitty smell... so far, she's having a HARD time with it... |

| Congratulations! You are so lucky to have a new furry addition to the household. My fiance is extremely allergic to cats and dogs so no furry pets for me. all i have is a turtle and a beta to keep me company while df is gone. does anyone know of any types of dogs that someone might not be allergic to if they have allergies to dogs and cats? or would the person have to get a specific type of allergy test to find that out? i think squirt is a good name for the kitten. then you would have two cats with soda pop names or what about 7-up? |

| Admin/Owner ![]() | yup, there's a good amount of hypo-allergenic dogs out there like bichon frise, mini schnuazer, maltese (i think), labradoodles, etc... dogs that don't shed are typically hypo-allergenic and good for those with major allergies... we just want a dog that doesn't shed because it DOESN'T shed! haha |

| Jetgirls Ol' School Member | http://www.siberiancats.com/allergy.htm check out that website about hypo allergenic cats!! John just showed it to me earlier today. He's not sure how much he believes it because there haven't been any scientific studies done on them, but to me it sounds good!! I really would like a dog/cat once we get married so when he's gone all the time i can have something furry to keep me company and a dog to bark if someone is around. Doesn't have to be a threating bark, just enough so it'll wake me up if someone is trying to break in. |

| What a cutie kitty!!!!! Have you had cats before??? I bet you are having a ton of fun cuddling this adorable munchkin! My cousin just received two cats and named them Betty and Wilma. Thought that was cute. Maybe that will help with names??? Congrats on your new addition! - Andrea |

| Admin/Owner ![]() | oh yeah, we already have 2 of them. Our black one (sasha) is 3, our calico (sprite) is 2...so they were ready for another baby in the house! haha for the past week, they've been having a hard time with it, but now that she's over her cold (antibiotics are great for kats!), we have her out getting the other 2 used to her.. so far, so good! We decided last night (i think) to name her peaches cuz she responded to that more htan all the other names we tried and because DH likes it too... so - peaches it is! We'll get some new photos up pretty soon.. I have so many other projects to finish like my trip report (DOH!), that's almost a month behind now! but yeah, it's fun... but now - because she's such an attentionaholic, i understand a little on how you mothers get no sleep and all with new babies! hahahaha definately makes me understand again just how hard "mothering" can be! (granted, kats are no kids...but they pretty much require the same amount of attention.. 100% when they're NOT sleeping!) |
