He sounds like a very smart man. (kidding)
I agree with you; these people want someone else to commiserate with them or some odd thing like that. People who make "suggestions" as to how I live my life...well, that's their own issue. I don't subscribe to concept of guilt. There are many good ways to live life.

I couldn't agree more!

I love my kids, I love them SO much, there's just no describing it. But, as I've said many times, having them was our decision. Just like me staying home with them is our decision. Certainly not everyone else in the world is going to make the same decisons as us, and thank GOODNESS for that or the world would be one hell of a boring place.

All I ask is that people who do not have kids, please don't pretend that you could possibly understand what it's like. You can't. That's not a bad thing! But there's just no way to describe the many, many feelings, emotions, just everything involved with being a parent. It's not the same being an aunt, (I was an aunt before I was a parent, and yes, it's different!). Quite probably in the same way that I can not understand how it must feel having people question you about kids all the time, and wish they'd just mind their own business!

So I say to each their own! I would never, ever dream of trying to tell someone, in any way, that they should or shouldn't have kids! Someone's life isn't made or not made by whether or not they procreate, it's finding your own fulfillment along the way that's important.
