Default Greetings from Indy.......

Hello all! We're finally moved and settled into the new house in Indianapolis. I LOVE THIS HOUSE so freakin' much it's not even funny. The move went reasonably well, the movers (Boyer-Rosene, a Bekins company) were GREAT, and Pulte Home of Indiana (the builders of the new house) have been really great too. I'm so grateful both the closings went off without any problems. The buyers of our old house had some financing issues I guess, but it worked out. We didn't attend the closing in person, we gave power of attorney to our kick-ass attorney Christina. She was great, and her services were worth EVERY penny we paid her. Our realtor here in Indy was terrific too, we couldn't have done it without her. She was amazing with working with us when we were down here to house shop last month, and did a lot of leg-work for us here in town when we weren't able to be here to do it ourselves.

Our toddler had some sleeping issues while we were in transition. I left with the kids to go to the farm on Wednesday (the 10th), the movers were at the house on Thursday, the closing was Friday. My mom and I drove the kids to Indy on Sunday (8 hours in the car with a toddler and a 6 month old. :googleeye ), we closed on the new house on Monday, the movers delivered on Tuesday! Oiy, what a week!

Once our toddler was back in his own crib, and saw his toys coming out of their boxes he was fine. He's adapted great, and is doing very well in his new home.

I have never been so confident in a decision as I am in the choice we made to have movers. We NEVER could have done U'Haul. The only thing I wish is that we'd had them pack, too. It would have been worth the money.
