We're having a baby!!

Hi Everyone,
I found out yesterday morning that DH and I are PG!!!

My first doc's appt. is Oct. 22nd!

When I get a due date, i'll post it.

Well, we've only been trying for less than a month... who would've thought! My DH is QUITE proud of himself [img]/forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif[/img]

I had planned on waiting til later this week to take the tests, but I got tired of waiting. I picked DH up from the airport and we stopped to buy the tests and got home around midnight. I bought two different kinds just to be safe [img]/forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif[/img] I drank some lemonade before bed, but I could not sleep!! About 5am I finally got up and took the tests... BOTH came back positive in less than a minute!! I couldn't believe it!! I kept staring at them to make sure. I went back in the bedroom, woke DH up and asked him if he wanted to have a baby!! Later that morning I took another one, just to make sure I hadn't been dreaming ha! ha!

I always thought that I would plan out some elaborate way to tell my husband we were expecting, but I couldn't wait a single minute... oh well, maybe with the next one.

If my calculations are correct I should be four or five weeks along. We don't plan on finding out the sex of the baby prior to the birth. DH would like a boy, i'd prefer a girl. But of course we will be excited about whatever God blesses us with.

It's funny because we weren't trying extremely hard yet. We weren't taking temperatures and checking ovulation charts. We decided for the first six months of trying our montra could be "Thy Will Be Done". Well, I guess we got our answer.

As far as moving - we went to look at townhouses yesterday. We still plan on moving, but won't buy anything til after the first of the year because of tax benefits, etc. I'm excited about it and so is DH, but it's funny how my mentality has changed in the last 48 hours. Nothing else matters to me anymore except our future child. I haven't worried about money (which anyone who knows how frugal I am would be shocked), where we're living - nothing... just "am I eating healthy?" or "am I trying to do too much?"

Anyway, that's our scoop. We're planning on telling our families at Christmas time... If I can wait that long.
