Default Postcard exchange

This goes along with Janet's idea, but it is more like a one time thing. I am having my 7 year old learn the states and capitals this summer, and I was hoping that we could do a postcard exchange with some people so we could get as many states as we can by the end of the summer. We would send a postcard to your child and receive one from you. If anyone is interested, please let me know. We live in Florida, so we would send a Florida postcard. Thanks

I think that's a great idea. I don't have kids so I can't send a California post card from my child, but if you need California, let me know!!

Once they receive as many as they can, it would be wonderful to lay them out on a large USA map to see spatially where the states are.

what a cute idea. I can send one from Tennessee and we're leaving for Myrtle beach on the 6th so I can send one from there too.

No kids, but I can send one from New Mexico either Albuquerque or Santa Fe! In a couple of weeks I can send you one from Chicago when we go home to visit!

Thanks, everyone! I really appreciate it. After we are finished with this project, I am planning to make a scrap book with the postcards for him. On one side, the postcard, and on the other side will be his facts that he researched (capital, location on map, basic state info.,etc.). He will get to have this as a book to keep. I think it will really pump him up to learn the states because they will be learning them this year at school, and he will be out of school a lot due to dr.'s visits and such.

So, I think so far that is Utah, California, Indiana, North Carolina, Tennessee, New Mexico, and South Carolina.

I have family in Ohio, Pennsylvania, Idaho, and Arizona (as long as I can get them to remember to send one.)

I told my husband to start picking one up on his trips. Any ideas of how I can get more?
Thanks again,
Regina

I really think this is a great idea. I'm excited to "borrow" your idea when my future kids reach that age. I hope I have a support network like this one when that time rolls around w/ such a wide geographical expanse. I'm excited for you guys. Hope the project turns out well.

Did you say that you already had one from South Carolina? My four kids would love this. If you are still looking for a postcard from SC count on us!

Great Idea!
