Default He's here!

As I was complaining about 10 minutes earlier to my sister-in-law about how my contractions stopped, I was bringing my kids home from school (along with some of their cousins) and they started again 3 minutes apart. So, we leave for the hospital as soon as a babysitter comes down to the house. I get to within 5 minutes of the hospital, and then they went to 6 minutes apart. Luckily, the nicest doc in the office was in and she said she didn't want me to go home. She broke my water and gave me some pit. I delivered within the next hour and had to psuh for about 5 minutes or less. Bad part was the epidural. For some reason I think my back is messed up because it hurt immensely. Everything was quite numb except I had to get 2 boullises (sp.?) About 15 minutes before pushing. Turns out I had a hot spot that just wouldn't numb. That was very painful, but at least it was fast. : )

So, husband was home. Baby is doing well. Small tiny features, with a small head that the nurses compared to a c-section baby.

His name is Blaise, but we can't decide on Blaise Dominic or Blaise Andrew.

Oh,something that they suggested at the hospital is NOT to put out any outdoor signs that announce you had a baby. They said that weirdos have been driving around looking for those signs to kidnap newborns. Makes sense, but it is the first time I heard that from a hospital. We have never did the signs or balloons thing, but it is sad that society is so sick that you can't announce a happy thing like a birth.
