| Admin/Owner ![]() | Sorry if i freaked some of you out with the title ![]() I was looking through a catalog and remembered when we had our self cleaning litter box. it worked well but i always ended up getting pretty close to the litter (when cleaning it). For some reason, i always seem to remember that if you're preggers, you're not supposed to be handling litter or cleaning it. Anyways, they have this new self cleaning litter box that looks better than some of the older types i've used and i was thinking it would be a perfect gift for those ladies who are looking to conceive or are pregnant without having to get rid of your cats! ![]() here's the website for the SmartScoop litter box. | Jetgirls Member | Yeah, for a moment when I saw the thread title I thought, "omg, woo!" I've been really pining for a kitty recently, to keep me company while DH is away. But DH's housing allowance increases in October and we are planning to buy a house. As soon as we buy a house, DH is really keen to start making babies, and he uses this as a reason not to get a kitty right now. Poo. But cat poo might not be a problem anymore! This link might come in really handy Kristie, thanks for sharing. As a sidenote, DH also says that cats get a little weird when babies enter the picture, they get jealous and competitive. Is this true? I have heard that girl kitties are better with it, they sniff around, realise that it's a baby and are OK with it... |

| My cat did not bother the baby at all. In fact, she was very protective of him. She would lay in the threshold between the kitchen and the family room as if she was guarding him. If someone came over she did not want that person in the room with the baby. We actually had to lock her in a bedroom if we had company. She stayed away from him for about a week, then once day he was in his seat sleeping and she went over very slowly and sniffed him and that was it. |

I had a cat when I was pregnant with my DS, and the cat got over protective and also wanted only me to feed it. But what was weird is that the cat disappeared the day before my son was born and never heard from or seen again .

| I have a great cat box cleaner, I don't go anywhere near the boxes, the problem is that it only works about every four days when he is home from flights I only had our one kitty when T was born and she loved him, we had to watch her b/c she liked to sleep nest to him on the floor or couch, but then one day she rolled over on him and she hated him ever since. They have since made up. We keep guessing about how the two new kitties will react to baby, I think our male will just go about daily life. The baby (1 1/2 yrs) will probably love it, she curls up with Trayton and licks him for hours at night, so this will probaby be a new taraget that can't get away!We do have a problem with the two of the furry babies sleeping in the crib! they think we have set it up just for them!

| Jetgirls Plus Member ![]() | I have one! It is great! I think it works better for just one cat though. If you have multi cats you'll need to change the cartridge more ofter. With Rosita I can go about 4-5 days without having to toss it out. No more having to wonder if she's walked on poop or pee on the litter ad then coming to lay on my bed.

Funny thing is, Rosita won't go anywhere near the boys, ages 6 and 4.5. With the baby, I'll be feeding her and she'll be on top of my lap too. Then every morning she has to give Victoria a kiss.

awww...that is so cute! I'm afraid for my little Kenzie, whenever children may be in the picture...Kenzie is my shadow and follows me EVERYWHERE!!! she really is my first baby, I have no idea how she would act! Although funny thing, when BF kisses me, or we're on the couch, Kenzie is right there in my face or on my lap!
