| I totally picked up someone's ENTIRE phone conversation this afternoon with my baby monitors. I guess it shows how nosy I am that I listened to the whole thing! oops! Anyone else have baby monitor issues?

| I haven't seen that with baby monitors, but I had a similar experience when I had a corded land line many years ago - I would occasionally get our neighbors wireless house phone conversations in the background. Not always, and it seemed to be mostly in the summer. /shrug

| When we lived in apartments, we picked up conversations all the time... I remember being at my sister-in-laws house, and she had to remind me to be careful with what I say in other's houses with young kids because a baby monitor could be on..... |

| I once overheard a couple having a fight over the phone. It was fun to listen to! I also heard a guy ask his mom if she wanted to go out for icecream. LOL! We have monitors but they're rarely on. Molly's with me most of the time and I don't need one for Emily anymore. Although when she had the flu recently we put one in her room and I heard her tell Sponge Bob that he "had a ticket to ride!" LOL! (no, we do NOT let her watch Sponge Bob- she caught a glimpse of it at her grandmother's house before I asked her to change the channel). |

It has concerned me I've "heard" stories you know someone heard from a friend stories about bad people listening for your info... That does scare me.... I try never to say anything to revealing when it's on...........like my address or phone number or where I work things like that....... I have to admit.please don't think Im crazy but it has crossed my mind that maybe baby monitors could serve another purpose for thiefs who will know when your sleeping (my whole house snores) and find that perfect break in time......though my husband reminds me that this is a silly notion because NO one would be able to pin point which house the baby monitor signal was coming from (although they only do work within a so many feet radius from the bases) hmmmmmmmmmm...still my fear of the baby crying and me not hearing her or crib death scares me more.so I continue to rely on my handy dandy baby monitor ![]()
