| My son's girlfriend was taken into surgery New Year's eve due to an eptopic (?spelling) pregnancy. My son took it hard and I felt bad for him, but I can't say I'm not a little relieved. They were just too young and not ready financially.

| Jetgirls Ol' School Member | Yeah, what a mixed bag of emotions for everyone! But I think you're right ... its a blessing in disguise for your son and his girlfriend. Maybe they can learn from this potential big life change and do some future family planning ... age wise and financially. Sorry for the disappointment your son is feeling. He'll grow from the experience. |

It's where the embryo begins to develop inside the fallopian tube instead of the uterus. It can cause the tube to rupture and all sorts of other fun things. I don't think that these pregnancies are ever carried to term - they almost always end in m/c. | |

| That's quite a jumble. Good and bad for the various people involved, but hopefully your son and his gf will emerge stronger and smarter from it. You might suggest he keep a close eye on his gf for a while, it can be very hard to lose a pregnancy (espeically if they knew about it before the surgery like it sounds), and she might have a hard time from hormones, if nothing else.

| Thanks every one... I talked to her yesterday and she seems to be doing okay and plans to return to work as soon as possible.

| I've been gone and missed this the other day. I'm sorry it turned out like this, but it's probably for the best. I had an ectopic between both kids and I came to terms by thinking it wasn't meant to be. Hopefully, she will get back to "normal" soon and they will be more careful in the future. Jen |
