Default Polly pockets cheap

Hi, everyone. I don't know exactly what polly pockets are, but I have read that they are pretty popular. Anywho, just thought I would share a deal I read on a different chat site:

If you have a mejier, they are buy one get one free this week (marked 10.99 and up). If you go to Hasbro's site (I think it is hasbro...or it is whoever makes the polly's), there is a 5.00 coupon you can print off. Also, on some of these, if greediness hasn't set in with people not actually being the ones buying these, there are 5.00 off coupons on the boxes. So, even though you are getting the second one free, most stores (it just depends on store policy, and even varies among the same chain of stores) let you use both coupons....one for the item buying and one for the item free (since you have to actually get 2 to get the deal). Anywho, this would make it 1.99 plus tax for 2 polly pockets.

We don't have a meijer down here, but we did up north. So, I thought I would pass the deal along.

link for coupon: Mattel

Too bad, I wish I still lived near a Meijer- they always had wonderful deals!

As a side note of having worked retail- you can use two coupons on a buy one get one free item, because technically you are still paying the tax on that "free" item. I ALWAYS use two coupons on buy one get one free offers and have never had anyone question me in the past.

You are so lucky....maybe because I can get my grocery bill down so much because I stock up on the buy one get one and use coupons, but most of the time the cashier says no. Then, I have to explain their own store policy about excepting the two coupons. The cashiers still don't believe me, so I ask them to call the manager. The manager then tells them yes, and after the line is backed up behind me, I finally get to check out. For instance, publix has bogo a lot. This week they had bogo on granola bars, and I had 1.00 off one box coupons. So, for .59 cents I was able to get 2 boxes of quaker granola bars. One cashier looked at me and said, "All of these coupons...?" I was nice, polite, and smiled, and said, "Yes, I did buy all these items." She said okay. Another time about a month or so ago, an older woman (and it tends to be older women mostly for some odd reason) said that she wasn't going to let me use both coupons because that means I would be getting the items practically free. Yep, that's why I thought it was such a good deal and why I was buying them! The manager had to be called over, and then she started arguing with the manager about how that wasn't fair and about how I was stealing, etc. She really tried to embarress me, but I e-mailed corporate about her and the situation, the manager called and apologized and gave me a 25.00 gift card.

Oh, I do miss meijer's too. I liked shopping there. I like how stores up north double coupons, but I didn't take advantage of using coupons then...why, I have no clue..There are so many good deals up north that they don't have down here. I am still puzzled about that one.

Thanks Regina.

I've printed the coupon and will be heading to Meijer tomorrow morning.
Ava wanted the PP Jumbo Jet from Santa and this will be perfect to add to it.

I honestly have never had a problem. It may have been a pain for the people behind me in line, but a mom's got to do what a mom's got to do!

Just a couple weeks ago I had coupons for the 4 pack snack pack puddings. So, I bought 12 packs of pudding and what do you know I got them for free. But, that is not the best part...the register didn't adjust the coupon to the sale item and the store actually owed me money! I walked out of that store with 12 packs of pudding (48 containers) for free and they paid me a little over $2.50! Free pudding and money in my pocket!
