| Having been forced as a newspaper writer to learn about No Child Left Behind so that I can write about it when the Board of Education has no choice but to talk about it for endless torturous hours in their BoE meetings, I have decided NCLB was created by demon spawn with limitless cruelty and a brilliant knack for wasting the time of teachers, school board members, and whoever those poor saps are who have to make all those rules, regulations, forms, amendments, provisions, and rules to correspond with each regulation not met. Had I the time, i would make it my life's work to abolish this most INANE, RIDICULOUS, ABHORRENT waste of time. Not only so teachers could go back to teaching students instead of worrying about some stupidlame government testing procedure, but so I wouldn't ever - ever - have to listen to any more discussions about it ever, ever again. That said, does anyone LIKE NCLB? And does anyone know of a good place I can find info. on whether it's improved schools nationwide since it's unfortunate inception? |
