Default childhood poison sticker

What did you call your "do not ingest" sticker that mom may have put on household cleansers like soft scrub and the like?

I grew up w/ Mr. Yuck (in the midwest)
Mr Yuck - Google Search

I know others that grew up w/ Officer Ugg (Colorado)

I'm wondering if the difference might be regional? Age? No reason at all?

LOL, I don't remember, I'll have to ask my mom.

In this house, we're a little over dramatic, okay, I am. I'll say... NOOOOO, you'll get sick and maybe die if you touch it! lol It worked, never had to put a latch on the cabinet.

I have never heard of either of those. Telling my kids "this is poison, do not touch it ever" has worked pretty well so far, I've never seen them even near the cleaning supply cupboard.

I too have never heard of either of those.

With my own kids we somehow just got in the habit of calling cleaning products "chemicals". If we are at home or happen to be out and there is a product that we don't want the kids to touch we just say "No, chemical!" Somehow that word has struck fear in the kids. We were actually at Home Depot last weekend and looking at lawn products. Well the kids got close to the fertilizer and we simply said "chemical" and it stopped them in their tracks.

If I remember correctly I think growing up my Mom would just say "touch it and die". It seemed to work- we're still here!

I haven't heard of either of those either. I am not sure what my mom used. I know that she didn't use either one of those. Now I am curious to know how she kept 5 girls away from all of that.

My house had some Mr. Yuck stickers around growing up in Washington, but they seemed to be more leftovers from my much older brother and sister than put there for me -- the few I found were old and falling off. I don't remember my parents saying anything really, but I was one of those overly-responsible kids. I was cleaning my own bathroom since at least 2nd grade with windex and that bleachy-powder stuff, so I knew they were dangerous, but I also knew how to use them early on. I was trained well!
