Default Need some name help!

Okay girls, as of today, I'm one week away from my due date. Still feel pretty good, but tired. I think its nature's way of making you look forward to delivery -make you feel like crap at the end! LOL

Anyway, as with DS #1 we have not found out the sex of this baby. We have a girl's name -Grace Helen so that won't be a problem. However, we still haven't decided on a boy's name. DS1 took the only one we've ever agreed on -Jason. I really like William as it is my father's (we call him Bill), brother's (we call him Billy) and two very close friends' names (Bill and Will). I would want to call the baby Will. However, DH doesn't really like it and says that since Jason was his best friend from the military's name and Will is another USMC friend we would be leaving the third close USMC friend out. Yikes!

So, we've narrowed it down to Phillip (DH's brother's name) or Zachary (no family connection). I like Phillip but not Phil. Zack is a great name but no significance which apparently important to me. So, I need your votes. Let me know what you think we should name this baby if its a boy.

I have a firm, "I birth it, I name it policy." So, under my policy, you name your baby whatever you want to. I did give DH some input with the triplets, because, well I was naming 3 babies, and one is hard enough, - but it was just input. What names do you like?

Unused baby names:
Mason

Elijah (Sophia was Elijah right up until the 20 wk. ultrasound)

Sophia was going to be Grace, but my mother called me a week before I had her and told me that though Grace was a lovely name, it was not as pretty as my other girls ( Emily, Gabriella and Cecelia) and that the baby would think I had just given up and named her Grace. She suggested Sophia. She is a Sophia, it fits. I still like Grace though!

I like both names, but voted for Zachary.

Could you say Zachary William???
That way it used the family/friend name William?????

We couldn't decided on a girl name, so we let our son choose.
DH wanted Natalie and I wanted Ava, and DS went with Ava.
He was 4 yrs old at the time, but was excited to help with a major decision.

Good luck!

Jason is so convinced that we're having a girl that he won't even consider a boy's name. He'll say, "I like a Grace." So he's no help! Maybe I should consult the dogs?

Hubby has picked out the name already for our little girl. Boy, I really hope she is a girl. I figure with 4 or 5 ultrasounds we're good to go, lol. She'll be named Victoria Elizabeth, and there will be no shortening of names, except for maybe Tori.

I think Phillip William is a very strong name. And he could then later decide what he wants to use, Phillip, Phil, William or Will.
I have a son named William,a nd he gets called most of the time William. By his brother and my dh Will.

I never understood why people love to shorten names. My mom chose Brenda, thinking there is no way it could get shortened. Well, I get called Bren all the time by my friends and brothers.

That's hysterical!

My mom has the same feeling but DH has some pretty strong feelings about it.

We've had the name Grace for years. In fact, we had only been together a year and a half when we had a major break up. The day we got back together DH's grandmother (Grace) died and I told him that someday we'd have a girl and we'd name her Grace. Well, ten years later, Grace has her chance. We'll see!

That's how Jarred's family is too. None of their names were shortened either -Jarred, Danielle and Phillip. Where all of ours were -Katherine -Katie, Margaret-Peggy, William-Billy, and Jacqueline -Jackie.

I really like Phillip, but I HATE Phil. I'm wracking my brain trying to come up with a on-going nickname I could use instead. Jason is usually Jay or a shortened version of our last name. I guess we could call him PW -or not. LOL

I voted for Zachary- although if you choose to shorten names I personally prefer the spelling of Zac vs. Zack.

Both names are nice and very strong, but I think that Zachary goes so well with your other son's name: Jason.

If you choose to use William you could always shorten it to Liam. That's a cute option and then you won't have another Will or Bill.

Good Luck!
