| I definetly like both sets of names, but Zachary flows better with the middle name given. I like the policy of input, but I have the final say....all my kids have meanings behind their names, that pretty much revolve Church saints. Gabriel was suppose to be Joseph, but when we found out there was something wrong with him on St. Gabriel's feast day, we named him Gabriel Michael (Michael because he was a fighter). My daughter is Madeline Marie (she is named after my patron saint). My next daughter is Philomena Therese (named after a saint that was helped by St. Gabriel. My 4th was named Raphael Benedict after the Archangel Raphael (healer) and the patron saint of kidney patients. My daughter Therese Louise's first name was named by my husband and I chose the middle name because my grandmother and his mom's name is Louise, and Michael Anthony was named because I wanted the 3 archangels listed and Anthony because he was born on St.Anthony's feast day. I have always named the babies when we found out the sex, but I am having a difficult time figuring out the names this time. I like the name Anne.....I like the name Blaise....I like the name Zoe...I like the name Cecillia Celine.....I like the name Xavier Francis.....my husband says he gets vetoes, but I think that if I carry the baby and deliver, my decision is the final one. ![]() |

Love the names Zoe and Cecillia -- they were on my list of considerations for our daughter. I really wanted Sadie or Emerson (Emmie) but DH nixed them because of our last name. But I fought for Ava (with a little help from our son) and won. Jen

| Emmie sounds cute....my niece is Emily Ann, and some people call her Emmie. I would like that name, but I am stuck in the mind-thinking that I have to have something different than everyone else in the family (a little hard because of the fact that my kids have over 60 cousins on just one side!). Still, I like the unusual names...not the totally out there names like the lady that named her kids orangejello and limejello because she ate that while pregnant, but I like the names that people say, "Oh, that's unusual, where did you come up with that?"

| We asked Trayton what to name the baby, his first reply was if its a girl name her bye-bye b/c she ain't stayen. Then he came up with Hagglina maggaline. His third was Miley (which is high on the list) and for a boy his pick was Lane. we are still worken on getting this baby to show us the goods, so we can start working on narrowing down names.

I've heard of limejello and orangejello and shithead (pronounced she theed)!!! Man, mine would be pork chop and mandarin orange!!!! But, I agree on unusual names. Afterall, I'm Jennifer, most popular name in the 1970's. There was at least 3 of us in every class. My DH is James. A nice, but common name. When I was pg with our son, I found the name Cullen, it's Irish for handsome lad and we loved it. Plus I'm Irish so it totally fit. I was a little scared because DH is Czech/Hungarian/Russian and I thought for sure he would want to name it something like Igor. ![]() Jen Jen

| Jetgirls Member | I voted but now I don't know if I agree w/ my own vote! While I like Zachary (and the shorter versions) I know a kid named Zack down the street. He's only 5 but I've heard some horrible stuff come out of his mouth. So, Zack is sort of soured w/ me (not that it's Zack's fault that he has such a foul mouth at such a young age!). Anyway, go w/ your gut. DS #2 Is Joshua Wells. Joshua is the only name we could agree on and Wells is my grandmother's maiden name. I wanted Rowe as a middle name. That's my maiden name. I should have played my "birth card" so I could have had the name I liked better! Oh well! As I said, go w/ your gut! Best of luck!![]()

| Jetgirls Ol' School Member | i cast a vost for Zachary Phillip...from the sounds of it, picking names can be tricky...my name has been shortened to Cassie, from Cassandra...growing up, I called myself Mud because my younger sister would repeatedly call my name, and plus I did not like Cassandra, it wasn't 'cool' enough... ![]()

We already have names picked out, Isabella for a girl and Kenneth William 3rd for a boy. I am not too crazy about the kenneth thing, but we will argue about that when the time comes to argue about it. I really like Benjamin for a boy. We do agree on Isabella at least. I have no idea on a middle name, I like Grace but it sounds weird with our last name. I like Savanah for a girl, too, dh doesn't though. I like unique names but not like off the wall crazy like orangello lol

I like the strong names with meaning and yes I am the momma and I will pick the name, the middle names I give the DH. LOL Just picture yelling the full name and if it has a nice ring to it then so be it. Good luck. I decided On Allyson Jo. What do you think? |
