Speaking of Deceptivly Delicious and The Sneaky Chef, there was just a blip on MSNBC stating that some readers think the material is VERY similiar, almost to the point of being copied, and now they question why was Seinfields published over the other? Apparently The Sneaky Chef author submitted her cookbook but was turned down twice! There was something in there about Seinfiend being the wife of a celebrity...I don't know crazy...as long as they taste good, I'm all for it...

I think that goes for life, in general,: if you know someone, it is easier to get ahead (for the most part).

That's too bad, that would be frustrating for the author to not matter as much as a celebrity wife! Someone did publish her though, and it was 6 months before Seinfield's was published, so I wonder if there will be copyright issues?

Those veggies aren't useless! Check out: The World's Healthiest Foods The links for each vegetable below will show you a chart of the vitamins and minerals for each vegetable.

Green beans

Commonly referred to as string beans, the string that once was their trademark can seldom be found in modern varieties. Although these bright green and crunchy beans are available at your local market throughout the year, they are in season from summer through early fall when they are at their best and the least expensive.
Green beans are picked while still immature and the inner bean is just beginning to form. They are one of only a few varieties of beans that are eaten fresh. Although green beans vary in size they average about four inches in length. They are usually deep emerald green in color and come to a slight point at either end. They contain tiny seeds within their thin pods.

Corn

What vegetable is more synonymous with the coming of summer than freshly picked corn on the cob? Although corn is now available in markets year-round, it is the locally grown varieties that you can purchase during the summer months that not only tastes the best but are usually the least expensive.
Corn grows in "ears," each of which is covered in rows of kernels that are then protected by the silk-like threads called "corn silk" and encased in a husk. Corn is known scientifically as Zea mays. This moniker reflects its traditional name, maize, by which it was known to the Native Americans as well as many other cultures throughout the world.

Potatoes

Whether mashed, baked or roasted, people often consider potatoes as comfort food. It is an important food staple and the number one vegetable crop in the world. Potatoes are available year-round as they are harvested somewhere every month of the year.
The potato belongs to the Solanaceae or nightshade family whose other members include tomatoes, eggplants, peppers, and tomatillos. They are the swollen portion of the underground stem which is called a tuber and is designed to provide food for the green leafy portion of the plant. If allowed to flower and fruit, the potato plant will bear an inedible fruit resembling a tomato.

There's so many healthy things that you can sneak into food, like flax seeds, wheat germ, and even oat bran. Your family will never know what hit them!

I really think I might have to start sneaking in 'healthy' ideas into the food I cook...BF is 36 and still eats like a teenager! Plus, I could use the boost too!

I doubt it. It's unfortunate, but I doubt anything will come of it. You know the name of the game- It's all who you know.

Heck, I've been sneaking healthy foods into my own families meals for years as have many other mothers I know out there. I just never published a cookbook- damn.
