Default DD Birthday Party Question

This weekend my 8 year old DD will be having her birthday party/ sleepover. The theme: A Grand Night In Hollywood". (Her choosing) It is really shaping up to be a great evening. I found some Hollywood Movie Clapboard Frames that the girls will take home with their glammed up photo inserted inside, a glitter microphone to sing and dance with, and of course emmy style trophies that each of the girls will be presented with; most memorable performance, best song and dance etc. Sounds fun right?

Ok, so here is my dilema...one of my DD's girlfriends is blind.
My question...DD wanted to watch the new movie Surf's Up at her party is this a good idea? I'm sure she has "watched" movies before, she is 8, but I don't know. Does anyone have experience with blind children- is there something that I can do to make her time more enjoyable? Maybe I'm making too much of this??? It's just everything that I think up to do keeps me thinking will this little girlfriend enjoy this?
Ideas are most welcome- Thank You!

I don't have experience with blind children, but I did have a deaf student in one of my classes. I could order special media for him from an association for the deaf that went along with the movie I was showing in the classroom. Maybe her mother knows of an association for the blind that offers such media supplements? Just a thought! Have a fun party!

Yeah, like Rebes hinted, I'd call the girl's mother and explain your plans for the birthday party. She'll surely offer suggestions of ways to modify your plans to accommodate her daughter. Or, she may just say, go along w/ your plans as you want and my daughter will adjust accordingly.

Sounds FUN!
