I've also heard you can be paid unemployment for like 2 years if you lose your job and decide to pursue an education instead of going to work F/T. I don't know all the details, but heck, could you ask your employer to fire you? LOL

I'm also curious if there's a DH or SO in the picture to help out with the toddler at least.

As for the 40+ hours, i'm sure there's nothing you can do about that, we all need to pay the bills.

But is it possible for you to cut back on school a little bit? I know you can't change this semester, but 17 credits is ALOT!!!

I know it'll take you longer to finish, but this time with your toddler is important too! Not to mention your sanity.

Anyway, a little more info would be helpful....

I work 40+ hours and have a 6 yr old, however I had to go back to work when he was 4 weeks old and at that time I work 60+ hours. I had several sit in the bathroom and cry moments. if you can cut something out that would be great but mostly likely that might not be posible. when I am feeling overwhelmed I do/woudl cut out all that wasn't important...ie my house was a mess, I got the important stuff done, but extras were put off until there was etxra time. I got a "fake" computer at a refub shop for 20 buck that only had a typing program on it, when ever I worked DS worked. He had his own desk and supplys and love to study/work right next to me. my partents were great about giving me some off time, but I also had the neibor daughter come down as a mommy helper and she played with DS while I got stuff done, she was only 7 and very cheep! but she would walk him up and down the street on his tricycle and run him in the yard, so he was ready for a good nap. also I would put in DS favorite video and then put in my headphone with white noise and study/work we would be snuggled up on the couch and having time together. If you ask my son about it now, he doesn't remember any of it. He remembers the good time and the fun things that we did, but if you asked him about wearing underwear for a day b/c we were totally out of clothes...he has no idea...sometimes our biggest critic is ourselves. Just try to keep going and remeber that there is a light at the end of the tunnel. School won't be forever!
