| Jetgirls Ol' School Member | With all of the pregnancies on the site, I figure you all can answer this well!! How did you know you were pregnant? Did you feel different? Did you know something was different? Or was it a suprise and you couldn't tell at all?? Just wondering for future reference!!

| With my DD, I did feel different. My boobs used to get sore and get larger about 4-5 days before my cycle started. Well, that month, they got big about a week and a half before my cycle (but they got sore right on time, but stayed sore longer than they normally did). I was also getting light cramps during the month which was really uncommon for me. I felt a little sick in the morning too about a week before my cycle was supposed to start. Hum....I think that was it. I knew there was a chance I could be pregnant, so I took a test 5 days before my cycle was due to start. It came up pos. pretty quick. It was an awesome day. DH got a wisdom tooth pulled just an hour before I took the test...so his not so fun day turned out pretty nice I would say! ![]() With my DS, I knew there was a chance, but I didn't think I was pregnant b/c I had no symptoms. But since I knew there was a chance, I took a test 3 days early (I can never hold out until I've missed a period ). I took it really thinking it would be neg. but I just really wanted to know. It came up pos. right away. I was SHOCKED. With my second pregnancy, I was pretty much symptom free the first two trimesters. With my first pregnancy, I had a lot of symptoms early on and I was really sick and really tired in the first trimester.

| Jetgirls Plus Member ![]() | Well, I'm not sure you girls really want to know. I mean I WAS on the PILL! I was clueless for a while. I couldn't figure out why my boobs were hurting so much, I mean, I couldn't even wear a sports bra. As soon as I would take it off and "release" them they sprung out! I looked like a porn star. lol Then one day I was eating and couldn't figure out why I couldn't get full, lol! I would be hungry 2 hours later! DH never said anything, just gave me look. And then I was getting very tired, more than the usual before my period. When I went back to look at my pill pack, look at my tampon inventory befor eheading to the store I had REALIZED, I didn't get a period the month before. Oh boy! So much was happening around home it didn't occur to me. So, I went to take a test, dh was on a trip. Slight line, nah, can't be pregnant. Pill is 99.9% effective. Went to Wallmart and bought 2 more double packs. YUP! Slight line. Then I went and got a readable pregnant, not pregnant one. PREGNANT it read!

| With my second one I was out to lunch with coworkers. It was a teacher workday. I went to the bathroom and the soap smell made be nauseous. Then I went back to the table and had heartburn to which I actually said outloud "I haven't had heartburn since I was pregnant." We were all talking about this one really bratty kid who was scheduled to come into my class the next year. So as I joke I said "I should just get pregnant and then I won't have to have her in my class." Soooo when I got home I felt really weird and decided I would just take the pregnancy test feeling sure it would read "not pregnant" because we had only not used protection ONCE and I was shocked wehn it said Pregnant. I called my doctor's office and they were like "Shar? is that you?" becuase my son was only 6 months old they still remembered me. She said are you sure? I took 3 tests and they all said pregnant. My DH responded "OH boy" (and it was). We were happy because we really wanted more than just one. With my first I tried for 3 months and of course it is hard to get the timing right when DH is on a trip. But the time I actually was pregnant I felt very different...just weird...no actual "Symptoms" but just a feeling. It seemed like forever waiting to be able to take the test. |

| With my 1st we had been trying so I just kept doing pregnancy tests, my boobs were a big indicator though looking! But when my first was 4 months old, I was walking through the grocery store and walked by the pregnancy tests and froze. I had this sudden realization that I might be pregnant. It was the strangest thing I had every experienced! I wasn't exaclty having any "feelings" other than intuition. And I was right! I went home, got my DD down for a nap, peed on the stick, put my groceries away and came back to look at the test and it was positive! Of course, DH was on a trip. I sat on the couch and cried for about an hour, because I was still nursing my DD and I couldn't imagine being pregnant again only 4 months after giving birth! Sometimes, you just know!

| I had no idea I was pg with my first!! I had been flying ALOT and chauked the "delayed" period, falling asleep in the jumpseat and nausea to that! I took several tests - all were negative, so finally after 3 months, I went to the doctor and took a blood test. Got the congrats call when we were having dinner with friends and their 2 yr old tempermental child. I cried all the way home! Second was easier. I would always get sick on the same road. Ran to the doctor and demanded a blood test and he said let's try a urine test first. I reminded him of not being able to get a correct result with those and he said let's try. 5 mins. later we found out we were pg and since this test registered - I knew it would be a girl. |

| Jetgirls Plus Member ![]() | Oh my goodness- these aren't even birth stories so they shouldn't get you guys worried! It's good to know 'what to expect', but some of you are just so young... enjoy your freedom a bit before having the kiddies!
