| I'm struggling with that too. Growing up in the Northeast, most adults were Mr/Mrs (Last Name) unless they were close family friends. Some of those were Aunt (First name). Now that we live in the south (first VA, now OK) there is a lot of Ms/Mr (first name). I find myself using that more than anything and it kind of bothers me. If we ever go back to NY, it just isn't acceptable for the most part. However, right now, the adults my DS are exposed to are close friends and would have that "pet name" status even at home. I guess I will work harder at the Mr/Mrs (last name) as he gets older and exposed to more aquaintances or more formal relationships. Jackie |
