We'll definently be finding out if little baby is a him or a her. It helps so much with the planning, what to buy, how to paint & such. Providing the little bean cooperates at the important moment! Alex showed us everything, we even have a u/s picture of him with a little arrow pointing 'there' and it says "it's a boy"!

Some people say they don't want to find out because they want it to 'be a surprise'. In my opinion, it's a surprise at the time you find out, no matter when that moment may be! But, to each their own, right!

Alex's pregancy seemed to take an eternity. It seemed like all I could do was look forward to the end. I don't like being pregnant, and all the aches/pains/weight gain/uncomfortableness that goes along with it, but I've made the decision to try and enjoy this one. It's going to be our last (barring any 'accidents' in the future), so this is going to be the last time I'll be going through this. Also, I really have to enjoy the one-on-one time with Alex before he has to share his Mommy!

March is coming! I can't believe it's only 7 months away! Aaagghhhhhhh **

Amber, You have no idea how comforting it is to hear someone else say that! All of my friends are the "Oh I just LOVED being pregnant" type. I feel guilty for really not enjoying my pregnancy that much. But like you, I really plan to enjoy this next pg as much as possible. It will be our last as well and I think since I know a little more of what to expect I'll be able to relax and hopefully not be as miserable as I was last time!

Also, time really does make you forget. I remember that I was miserable and I remember saying I'll never be one of those woman that "loved" being pg, but now looking back, I can't remember why!

Yeah, I really can not understand how some women actually [i:325f711b75]like[/i:325f711b75] being pregnant! They say they feel all beautiful and happy and glowing n' stuff. Personally, I don't know what was being slipped into their pre-natal vitamins, but I could really use some!

I don't like not being able to sleep on my stomach, not being able to wear my clothes, watching the scale creep upwards, feeling fatigued every second of the day, having zero patience, raging hormones, feeling 'fat', not being able to get comfortable sleeping (especially towards the end).

However, I balance all that with the fact that, although it seems like an eternity at the time, it really only does last a few months! When you first see that new baby it is just the most amazing thing in the world, and while I hate being pregnant, I love being a Mommy to my little angels!

The first thing I remember hearing right after Alex was born was one of the nurses saying "you're not pregnant anymore", and that was the best thing anyone had said to me in ages!

Oh, and there are a few good things about being pregnant, like people in public not letting you carry anything. Baggers at the grocery store won't let you load your own bags, you never have to carry anything heavy! The lady at our dry cleaners would even carry the dry cleaning out to the car. You can eat as much as you like, and nobody looks at you funny. You get to feel the little guy/gal kick (it's cute before they get some strength in their legs & arms). And it really only does last a few months, then it's over and you have a beautiful little baby!

I'm in maternity clothes now, and I gaze longingly at my closet. But I feel better this time around because I know that I gained 50 pounds with Alex, but I lost 60, and all my clothes fit again. If I can do that once, I can do it again. (Though hopefully it won't be quite so much weight this time around.) So I really am making a conscious effort to enjoy this experience, and make it positive! Having been there before is making a big difference, I'm seeing the sights along the way and not just focusing on the end!

Tell me about it! I was still flying when I was pg and not one single pilot let me get my suitcase out of the bin or carry it down the airplane steps or even up ONE step to the airport doors, etc....it was very nice!!

I may be a complete freak but I actually cried just before I gave birth with both my boys because I wasn't going to be pregnant anymore. I am officially one of those nuts that says that they love being pregnant. I don't know why, I definately didn't feel beautiful. I think it was because it was the one time in my life that I could eat whatever I wanted, prance around in my swimsuit and not worry about sucking it in and I didn't have to watch my weight to make sure I fit into my clothes because it was official, I wasn't going to fit in them no matter what! I did gain 50 lbs with both the kids and it took over a year each time to get it off. Now I'm back to sucking it in and watching what I eat. I just loved laying there and feeling the baby kick. I know, I know, I'm very weird. Ooooh, then there's right after the baby is born when you're laying in the lazy boy and that sweet baby is all cuddled up in your neck sleeping! Okay, I'm going to stop now before I convince myself that I want another one. All I have to do is remind myself of the sleepless nights and pure exhaustion and those feeling quickly run away.
