Yes it was scary, but we now live completely across the country and one thing we have noticed here is a HUGE difference in health care. Where we lived before the Doctors and Nurses assumed everyone was stupid and weren't capable of making informed decisions so they led you in the direction they wanted you to go....does that make sense? Out here I've noticed a huge difference in that input from the patient is not only encouraged, its expected. Another difference I've noticed is that before everytime we went to the doctor, whether it was for the baby, me or DH...we left with a perscription....no matter what. We've been out here for almost a year and the only perscription we've had filled was my prenatal vitamins!! What I'm trying to say is that I think I will have a TOTALLY different experience here! Besides, I'm not even pg yet....so I guess for now this is a completely moot point! :-D
