Default Any ideas on finding health insurance?

Hi everyone, it's been a while since I had a chance to look in but we've made it to the US (still with mother-in-law in NY) and are hoping to reach Phoenix by the weekend (finally...!!!). One urgent concern is health insurance for the whole family (DH is going to be finishing training at PanAm and we have a toddler and a baby), so if anyone has any ideas or knows a reputable insurance broker I'd be very glad of some tips.

Also - does anyone know a good hotel / apartment let or something along those lines where we could stay for the first week or so while we look for a house? We've heard about Budget Suites in north Phoenix but don't know if it's worth even looking at. Another option we've heard of is Embassy Suites. We'd like to find something with at least 2 rooms or a large room with a divider of some sort between bed and living area, just so that DS's bedtime doesn't have to be ours (!)...

And of course I'm hoping to finally get to meet some of you once we get there!

Anita

Try www.extendbenefits.com you might find something there. We used one of the plans when we were without insurance for 6 months.

Good luck with everything.

Welcome Anita! When you get settled in, we in the PHX area will have to get together.
As far as insurance, the practice I just joined uses this guy. I have talked to him on the phone several times and e-mailed back and forth, haven't met him in person yet..... He seems VERY helpful and nice. You might try him.

Thanks for the tips - we'll be sure to check them both out :-)
We're so excited about FINALLY arriving in PHX tomorrow!!! Will have loads more questions once we are there and start looking at houses etc, so I'll be getting back to everyone about everything soon. Looking forward to meeting you soon too, Dana!

Anita-
I wish I was still there to meet you and help you get settled in! I miss AZ and I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.

Let us know if you need any other help.

I'd say check out some of the "suite" type hotels, they typically have a room with a sofa bed in another room (like Hawthorne Suites) which would allow for some privacy and yet your all in the same suite.

there are a ton of hotels in the phx area
