When I had my baby shower for DS (now 2 years old), we asked everyone to give me their best child raising advice. My aunt, who raised two boys in a fairly rural area told me this....

"When you go to wash their pants, DO NOT check the pockets! Throw them immediately into the washer, then wash and dry ON HOT! Then and only then, should you ever check the pockets! "

It is really the only advice that I remember. But apparently it has come in handy. Earlier this week, I was doing the laundry and noticed a reconstituted dead worm in the drum of my washer. I vaguely remember Jason playing with a dried up dead worm, so I assume he put it in his pocket along with the standard rocks!

Real nice! I guess Aunt Carol was right!

Oh gross!! I'd rather take it out of the pocket before it got spun around the wash w/ all my other clothes! LOL. Luckily so far all I have found is chapstick and candy and money.

this is not child related, but i have a dog, that will bring the WHOLE outside, inside to "her" chair...when we just brought her home, i found a whole bush in an open luggage...but in this chair, there are leaves...sticks...rocks galore...socks...papers...and all her toys!

it really is funny...whenever i clean that chair out, i'm like

!!!!

That is SO Funny! Boys will be boys!
I am constantly amazed at what I find in my son's pockets and the items that have slipped past me and wound up at the bottom of the wash. No worms thank goodness!
