Default Fertility Friend Question

WOW!!! I came here to ask one simple question and I got sucked into reading almost the entire dancing girl fiasco. I'm SSOO glad I wasn't here when all of that went down!

Anyway...I've been noticing little charts under certain signatures that I assume mean pregnancy. I was wondering what those are. We have been trying for baby number two for about six months now and I'm getting frustrated (baby number one was a surprise that happened after two weeks of being off the pill!)...any info would be HUGELY appreciated!
Thanks!

I can tell you the method that worked well for me and everyone I have told it to. MInd you, it would be very difficult to do when you're married to a pilot now that I think about it! My dh was on furlough is how we could do it. Anyways, here goes. Male sperm live for 48 hours and female live for 72 hours therefore, if you have sex every 48 hours you'll have something in there the entire month that's bound to bump up against somethig else!!! Also, by waiting 48 hours it give dh time to build his count back up!!! There have been many babies born due to this method that I know of! Good luck and hang in there, it'll happen!!

Ya know...I don't know why I've never thought of that. What we have been trying to do is "guess" my fertile time (I do not have a reliable cycle) and then have sex every 36 - 48 hours during that time span. It only makes sense to apply that to the entire month since my cycle is so out of whack! Thanks for the advice. Hopefully, DH will get lots of SEA trips so we'll be able to see one another almost every 48 hours or so!

I'll keep you posted!

I was the same way, I could never figure my cycle out and those fertility kits never seemed to work for me so we just went on a marathon sex run...have to admit, it was fun!!! Hopefully your dh will be in town enough so you can do that!!! If you can't get it every 48 at least you have until 72 and still have something swimming around in there. I'm sure dh will vote for the every 48 hour route. Not only for the obvious reasons... , but it seems that would be our best chance to have another boy. He's terrified of little girls. Says he just can't figure them out!

My son just went down for his nap a few minutes ago. I'll have to get the calendar and dh's schedule out and see when we get to start our "marathon". Unfortunately DH won't be home until Wed am, but we can start then!! He'll be thrilled!

Thanks again for the advice!

Well fertility friend is a way to chart all your signs, egg white cervical mucus, temp, etc. It was a little complicated for me so I didn't really use it until I was already pg, now I use it for my ticker. You can use it to help you chart if you want though. But here is how I get pg. When I was trying with my first, we were also "guessing" when to have sex. Well we were on the wrong date for sure. I used ovulation predictor kits, they are little pee sticks, you can get them way cheap on ebay. Once I knew the day I was going to ovu, we had sex every single day starting 4-5 days before and included ovu day and the day after. You can also use the "ewcm" method. For me, my egg white cervical mucous (clear stringy stuff) is kind of light for 3 days then really heavy for 2, the heavy days are ovu days, so I would just have sex every single day that I had ewcm. Hope that all made sense. Good luck!!

Ok Lisa, we're trying your "marathon method"!! I just started a "new cycle" last week (if you know what I mean) and as of yesterday, DH's schedule is very conducive to the marathon method. In fact, he is home exactly every 48 hours until the first week of Sept and then we are going on a boat trip, so that will be a nice romantic get away (with the baby in the bed next to us, though ops: But I think we'll be able to manage, its a 38 foot boat, so we'll be able to find SOMEWHERE!!!

Everyone keep your fingers crossed for us! I'll keep you updated!
