Unfortunately my bottom has no problem filling it's pants out. Along with my thighs. For our kids however, we have lots of the adjustable wasited pants! LOL

I have my mom's bottom (not that you care to know!) which, no matter how big I ever get, it will remain very flat but LARGE! I have NO shape to my backside. According to Oprah's show yesterday (on the "right" pair of jeans/pants) I need jeans w/ pockets to give me some shape!

so waht did Oprah say about too much shape? I have too much backside..but doug seems to like it ... i'm not too thrilled with it. haha

with the question of the thread itself... do your kids have your bottom or your husbands bottom??

* figured i'd move this into it's own thread cuz i just know it's going to revolve anyways!

I think most kids have no bottom at least until they are a lot older or if they are really big boned, so I think it's hard to tell "who's" bottom they have until they are adults. Corbin has NO bottom. He is shaped like a triangle, very wide shoulders, pop belly, and then tiny little hips with no bum, not even enough to grab. Me on the other hand, my weight is all bum and thighs. Got small arms and a small ribcage, average waist, and then POW! Bum and thighs!

My kid looks like the triangle now--and he's 23. Big muscular shoulders, no waist, no belly, no bottom, muscular thighs.

Hey, wait, what's wrong with that???

Well for my dh "what's wrong with that" is that he has to buy XL shirts, sometimes even XXL to get the width in the shoulders, and then it looks like a tent around his waist!

He has to buy European shirts--made for those with that physique. Many US manufacturers make tapered shirts as well.

How did I miss this thread last week?

My son, who's 4, is definetly built just like his dad-stocky. They have the exact same hands, feet and lower bodies. He'll probably be on the heavy side in the future, but right now he has a perfect little butt that is just ripe for grabbing.

I'm lucky enough to be fairly petite and about the same size as I was in school. Average all over, but I'm noticing that I'm starting to get a little of the secretary spread in the lower areas thanks to my cushy indoor job. Someday I'll get around to working on that...

My skinny-minny boys both have issues with pants fitting them. Their jeans/pants are forever falling off. Thank goodness for adjustable waist pants, though it does leave a lot of bunching where the elastic tabs pull in the fabric. But it is better than their pants falling down all the time!

Me, I've got big boobs and a big butt, small waist and skinny legs from just above the knees down. My arms are skinny and all muscle from the kids and pushing a double stroller for two years. Buying clothes is a PITA, because for something to fit my chest & butt it has to me a M or an 8, but then it's big in the waist and FORGET about those horrid 'skinny jeans'. I tried on a pair at Old Navy, where I wear an 8 and always have. I guess one has to be SKINNY to wear skinny jeans, they looked AWFUL on me.

If I had the $, I would seriously consider a boob reduction and lipo for my butt/thighs. Working out only seems to make my butt & thighs bigger, more defined but bigger. Dieting helps, and mercifully I'm still fitting in my size 6 or 8s.....
