Wow! What a gorgeous house; congratulations.

Why, why, why am I still living in LA?! I want to live by a lake and not the LA "river" (ie, flood channel filled with who knows what).

Thanks for all the nice comments on the house. We are so excited about it! I've never bought a house before since I moved in with DH into his. It is nice to be doing this together. It really is our dream home and we plan to stay there forever! It is also in one of the best school districts in the state--great for me as a teacher and hopefully soon a parent.

Nice house- congrats!
I can't wait until Nick and I can buy a house. We (actually I) live in my condo in AZ that I bought in 2002. I made the mistake of selling my first condo in PA I bought in 94- I could have made so much money. Now I refuse to sell my current place! I am going to rent it out and maybe we can live there when we're old! We went on Realtor.com to check out some houses and I know Nick wants a super modern house... I just want one with an open floor plan and a fireplace!
