| Admin/Owner ![]() | I find it really difficult to surprise DH during his trip.. if any one things goes wrong, whether it's a delay, reroute or what not.. it's all screwed up! so my typical surprise would be coming home from work early when he's home or something along those lines... but i have flown with DH during his trips before and about the best surprise I did was meet DH at his DFW gate after he was done with his trip one day (I was actually coming back from another trip and detoured), and talked him into going to vegas for a night..that was fun!! other than that, i've been on layovers in Boston, Austin, Reno, Orange County (that was really boring!) and a few others i can't remember. The boston layover was during Thanksgiving and it was really difficult to find some food! I only try to fly on his trips if i know the loads are light and i can easily get there and get back!! not very often anymore unfortunately.

| I've done it twice...once, my flight got in the same time as his and we stood in immigration at the same time and had a race to see who could get to the hotel first (me in a taxi and him on the staff bus)...the second time was a real nightmare and it took me 3 hours to track down his whereabouts - I came close to having to book myself into the hotel. Of course he loved it ![]() |

| Many years ago, when dh was still at TWA, he had a LNK overnight. I was still with Eagle at the time so I non-reved my self to STL and I bought an ID90 on his flight to LNK. I showed up at the gate and he comes around the corner and just stopped. He was SO surprised to see me. We weren't married at the time, and with my own airline and pass card it was very easy to do. It was worth every penny of the ID90 just to see the look on his face when he saw me. |
