Default Changes.....

Well, forgive my absence as of late- lots of changes here! Here's an update in a nut shell...
This last week was my first week back at work. I started a new job working 1/2 days MWF doing therapy with autistic kids. Wow! That has been a challenge. Frankly I am not sure I am cut out for it. But it is only 8 minutes from my house and allows me to spend more time with Mack.

I am back at my old job on T and Th part time (therapy with brain injury). It is good to be back, but weird. I stepped down from the director position to work part time and now my student that I hired last year (only a year out of school) took my position and is technically my supervisor! Weird!

Mac is finally sleeping through the night now minus one wake up due to gas, dirty diaper etc. which made this week easier in terms of sleep. I survived taking Mack to daycare although I called several times each day. At least DH was home my first day of work and kept Mack.
On top of it all, I am still breastfeeding so I am pumping like crazy to keep milk supply up. Mack is allergic to milk proteins so I cut ALL DAIRY out of my diet, and ALL the milk I had been pumping prior to cutting out dairy is a waste. I have about a 2 weeks supply of non dairy milk now- as I am pumping 24/7.

DH is now based out of IAH and has a 12 hr call out on reserve. We are hoping for a hard line by Nov. So far it has been OK. I still envy those families that have 2 parents home at night to share the load. Even Mack seems to be more content when he is here. I guess she can sense my tension when he is gone.

I can't wait until Jeremy's pay increases so I can finally just be a SAHM, and only work a few times a month to keep my license.
Funny how one little girl can change things!!

Sorry this is so long! Thanks for reading!!

so - how are the jobs going? hopefully your student turned director isn't trying to push your buttons any!!

I can't imagine how mom's handle the day care thing! I don't even like leaving my cats at home alone! haha

so are you supplementing your dairy with soy or other proteins? does that mean Mack will always be allergic to dairy type foods? how'd you figure out she was allergic?

glad things are going ok - sounds like you've got quite a load on your hands!!
