Talking Let there be LIFE!

WOW...what a change! apparently, the SLC base is 100x better than the ATL base as far as dh is concerned! he's only been at the DAL SLC base for about a week and has nothing but nice things to say...

he's already run into most of his old DFW croonies, a few people *offered* to show him around the pilot lounge - which DH says would NEVER happen in ATL.. he got a discount on his starbucks coffee with his id, also another "would NEVER happen in ATL" and it's just been really eye opening for him.

his biggest comment "everyone is SO friendly, it's a complete 180 from the Atlanta base, I'm hoping this bubble never pops"

he's so much happier already that I really do see him falling in love with the career all over again.

the best part for me has been that because he didn't switch planes, he only had to go through 1 DAY of differences training!! 1 DAY... that's it! i'll have him home more often now since his seniority is actually - better - and he only has a 1.5 hr commute now...

so, so far, this has been one of his best moves so far! I think he'll probably be waiting until his seniority gets way up there before he switches to the ER now.
