| Jetgirls Member | I totally admire those of you who are able to live abroad! My neighbor across the street is a military wife (dh is ret. army col.) She's lived EVERYWHERE and soaked it up! She raised her two boys all over the place. I however am truly content in the states. I adore my friends and family that live close by. So out of one side of my mouth, I gripe. The other side of my mouth I speak of a wonderful and blessed life! But I digress...We have decided to meet half way and spruce up the kitchen and buy some new furniture. No major construction or anything. Just enough to make us both feel better. Thanks for the encouragement you all! It's AWESOME! <---as 3 y/o ds says!

| Jetgirls Member | Good morning everyone! Just wanted to update you on my pity party. While things are not much improved w/ ATA, my spirit is a little better and I'm not feeling so down. We did decide to take the plunge and took advantage of a local furniture mart's annual sale in HKY. We bought ALOT of stuff which will help update the house. The new countertops are coming in two weeks for the kitchen. Letting go of this money has been terribly hard but I know it's worth it in the end. DH and I will feel a little more uplifted. I got word yesterday that DS's speech therapist thinks that he may no longer need speech therapy on a regular basis in the next few months (he was diagnosed developmentally delayed this past year and has come almost full circle since he started speech! It's been a challenging but amazing ride!) so that will help the wallet since United Healthcare stinks! (20 vists TOTAL for ST, Occupational Th., and PT COMBINED! :c razy: Anyway, wanted to poke my head in and say hello! Hope everyone is well! Have a good Friday! ![]()

| Thank you for the update, Stacy! These are hard times and I know you hated giving up your trip. Bringing peace to home is important. I'm glad things are moving along in a positive direction! |

| I have not posted much here either...just crossing over from JetCareers and hoping to post more =) It is so frusterating dealing with that type of situation, never knowing what will come next. I remember back in the 80's my mother and father recieved their layoff slips on the same friday (Dad is a pilot, mom was a teacher). You hang in there, vent all you need to, try to stay positve as difficult as it may be. |
