Default 7 years to go....

So Monday night Charlie had a 24 hour overnight in ACY and I joined him. We shopped for sneakers for his mom and scored the perfect pair. We dined at the Dock's Oyster House http://www.docksoysterhouse.com/contact.html and had a fabulous meal. On Tuesday we walked 10 miles and had a great time. We had a terrific time! He kept taking pix on the new digital SLR.

Next long overnight is 7/12 in SJU. I'll be there!

Oh and Tuesday was Charlie's birthday. So now he has seven years before he is forced to retire. But since he's in better health than many 20 years his junior, we are on the long term job hunt!

Sounds like fun Roz!

Kristie- The camera I have my eye on is the Nikon Coolpix S1. It is tiny and seems to take excellent pics. I've been watching it on Ebay, where it runs about $330 inc shipping. Hopefully I'll have one of those babies soon!

We have the Nikon D-70 Digital SLR. He has lots of extra lenses already. The Sony Digital we had is now relegated strictly for diving since we have a housing for it.

We have the Nikon Coolpix 5700 right now.. doug would like to get an SLR but i really don't know much about them yet and prices have to get low enough to afford it!

Why does he have extra lenses for it? doesn't it zoom far enough?

Amanda - what's the S1? a few steps higher than the 5700?

I'm not too sure about how the s1 compares to the 5700. I know the S1 came out this year (April I think). It is siper thin, has a big 2.5 inch screen, and from reviews I read it takes good pics.

I'm very close to buying one on Ebay!
Gotta spend my bonus money I got a few weeks ago!

He has the regular lens plus a telephoto. You can get telephotos that run as much as $5000! He's also after a wide angle lens but is waiting for the price to drop since they run around $600 now.
