I feel your pain! DH just left today for a four day but I am feeling kind of needy. I usually make it through the week just fine, staying busy with work and class but lately things have been tough for me for some reason. I know I will get to feeling better but its rough right now. I hope the week gets easier for you too.

How far away is your twin sister from you? I also have a twin sister and I don't know what I would do without her. We live about an hour away from each other but we still don't get to see each other as often as I would like. I can't imagine not being a twin--I always think it would feel so weird to not be a twin.

Take care,

Dyane

I feel for you two! My dh is gone till wednesday, I finally was able to get my dad on a flight back to his home (after 2 days of being airport bound) and the house is awfully quiet, lonely and actually a bit scary!

maybe we should have a chat this week eh? tomorrow night? haha

speaking of - Roz, how you doing with charlie being gone? he was home this weekend wasn't he?

wow, this must be the week of missing people! I had some real issues on sunday night when John left. we only got to see eachother for less than 24hrs and I don't get to see him again until Sat night (another less than 24hr visit though) bah. I hate not being able to see him and sometimes i really would just like to have a normal, i get to see him every day, sort of relationship. This whole, going for a week and seeing him for 18 hours is really killing me on the inside.

Dyane! Holy cow, you're a twin? Ok, here's some inside information about twins (i am sure you have already heard this) In a sense, we have never been a lone our whole lives right? (becasue we always have our twin) So when our DH leaves it's like "holy cow" now Im alone, even though we still have our DH, our initial thought process leaves us to think, oh no,,,, Now i don't have anybody here with me. My sister is in BHM, I am in orlando, so she is quite a ways away. She has my companion card so she flies here quite often. We don't see eachother as much as we both would like though.
So, maybe we should all get together for a chat, I would be available tonight if anyone else is,,,, I could really use it. Yesterday was the first day in a long time that I just got down right depressed and cried! It hate it when that happens, I have been trying so hard lately to just be strong and really independent, but I really feel the weight of him being gone right now because our wedding is right around the corner, and my car blew up yesterday with a 1200.00 repair! DH feels sooo helpless because he's not here to help and that KILLS him......
ok, now i am in full vent mode, sorry girls.
I hope to chat tonight.

I agree. I was so used to always being around someone (since birth!) that comopletely understood everything about me and being around someone who I could totally be myself with and who in a weird way made me feel complete. In a lot of ways its the same when DH is gone. sometimes i just don't feel myself when he is gone. i haven't been this down in probably a year or so but hopefully things will get better. I know I shouldn't complain and I am trying to stay positive but for some reason this week is rough. must be the cold crappy weather or something. hope everyone else is starting to feel better. i think it is easier to leave than to be left but I am rarely on the leaving end so i guess i can't really say. i hate to whine about it to DH because it just makes him feel worse especially since he can't do anything about it. what to do, what to do? i think i need a cold beer!

yes, i get those days every month that he's got a bad schedule... like during the months where he's home for 2 days and gone for 5 (commute and all) or when training comes up and interrupts the schedule so much that he's gone for like 2-3 weeks (5 day trip, 3 day training, 5 day trip) - they can do that!

or when i have to work too much and i don't get to see him as often because of my schedule...

or when there are too many things going on that i can't handle it all...it's really tough then too cuz all it takes is a hug to make you feel better (I use my cats for that when dh is gone, it's a good happy medium!).

during the periods when i just don't get to see him much at all, i get very somber and sometimes depressed (it runs in the family history)... i always talk myself out of it by saying 'it could be worse' or by treating myself just a little...and reminding myself of the light at the end of the tunnel (there's always a tunnel end!!)

but yes, sometimes it can still get really hard!

i suppose you wanted to hear a 'no' right? sowwy!

your lucky & smart - you've got your dogs there.. you should use them for some of that emotional stability.. play with them, teach them a new trick.. use them to get your mind off of missing dh so much or just have them give you a hug and you'll feel 110% better! that's the one thing i really miss about my dog, they love you just to love you and that's all you need to know (except they do need to get fed!)!

Kristie-
Thank GOD for my dogs, i am now at the point to where I am telling DH that I want a cat too, just to balance out everything!
My dogs are sooo awesome, I think they get sad too and I always tell them "don't woryy, he'll be home soon, I miss him too" and they're like uuhhhh,,,, ok!
Yeah, I guess It would have been nice to hear that you don't get sad any more, but I guess that's a little unrealistic, I guess we need to start looking at the good in all this,,, ROZ is usually the one to point our all that. ROZ, WHERE ARE YOU? We need ya over here........

Wow, I'm the unfeeling bitch I guess. I don't get sad when Bill goes on trips. Half the time I'm glad to see him go.... Gives me the chance to do my own thing!
