| Jetgirls Ol' School Member | heh, i'm starting reality tomorrow. Starting the "real" 40hr/wk job! Not quite sure how I feel about it yet. Not so happy about having to wake up at 6:30am when I'm used to getting up at 9, but I'll handle it |

| Well I've been off since Friday night and DH has been home since Friday night. We both go off to work tomorrow! He returns on Friday. Then he's off to Airbus school. I'm off to teach legal and effective supervision for our program nationwide. DS left yesterday--back to MCO for more school. ![]() No complaints here. It's all good! |

| I've been home from AZ since Wednesday night, and DH has been in CO since then. I go back to work on Tuesday. It took a little bit, but I'm finally comfortable being home alone. Our first time really not being together since we got married, so it was hard for me - and I have no family/friends in Cali right now, so I've been really lonely. I'm ready for work again. I'm ready to be social with other people. I think I can handle another couple days without DH before I start to go totally crazy. He comes back on Thursday, which is also his birthday. |

| Roz- Who does your DH fly for? Does he hold a line? Home on Friday and Back today? Only 2 days off?? A bit short for a line holder isn't it? Sorry for the "20 questions". |

| Admin/Owner ![]() | it's back to work for me and dh as well...he goes off to atlanta later this afternoon and starts his trip tomorrow... doing 4 day trips + 1 day commute => gone 5 days every week this month! altho he's home on the weekends, it's kinda suckin' already! but i'm gonna try not to sweat it too hard! ending the holidays is always hard for me for some weird reason! like why is it we totally get swept into the holiday season and everything gets put on the backburner and then all of a sudden, your thrusted right back into "life" ...ahh, just weird times for me! haha could be the rain that's dampering my day again too....it's been raining WAY to much here! | No, he holds a line. He bid a line with trips early in the month because he was originally scheduled to go to Airbus training at the end of the month. They bumped his training up to the 10th. Contractually, he could have had the beginning of the month off. But they offered time and one half premium pay so he took it. |

| Admin/Owner ![]() | actually, 2 days off isn't short for a lineholder.. it just all depends on the monthly bid. Like my DH has 3 days off between all his trip this month, but because he has to commute into work, he really only has 2 days off AT home. the only reason he bid a trip like that was so he could get a full week off at the end of the month for when my dad will be coming over this way for Barrett Jackson again this year. so, it just all depends on the line and what you've got going on for the month, personal wise, that you have to work around. |

| I went back to work after my surgery this past Wednesday. Didn't work New Year's Eve at the Club because they thought I would be out longer and gave the shift to someone else. Good thing, even though we could use the money, I don't think I was ready to go back on such a busy night. I thikn it was better to ease myself back into it. Venting here - I've been getting screwed on hours at work because the head cheese didn't like that I asked for something I was promised when I was hired, which was to work nights only. Now he's been giving all the parties to the other bartender and shorting me on hours. I spoke to the new president of the country club right before I left for my surgery, and he asked me to hang in, that eh would try to do something about it. Well, nothing has changed. There was a party tonight and guess who got it? At first it didn't bother me too much, because we each had four shifts and I figured that was just how it worked out. But next week, I have only three shifts and the other bartender has five. This has been oretty consistant over the last few months. I'm to the point now where they will not be getting any notice when I find another job. I'll be singing "Take This Job and Shove It" as I walk out the door.
