| I'll bet this is something you've all been thru on this board over and over, but... John finished his IOE, and passed (yay!) But now he has his schedule. Let's put it this way, when he got it, he sent me a text msg that said, "Well, it was nice knowing you." He left this past Sunday, and won't be home again until Dec. 5, and then only for one full day. In his entire schedule for Dec., he only has two days off in a row twice. Wouldn't be so bad I guess if he weren't commuting from STL to ORD. Grrr!!! He'll be gone all of the holidays, and at some point in there we have to try to get up to New York to see his family for the holidays. This really wreaks havoc on the whole house-building issue, too, because most of what we need to do requires three people (we're actually building it ourselves), and since he's gone all the time, we only have two people working on it. Obviously, it's very slow-going. Anyway, we try to talk and text msg each other every day, but I sure am not dealing with this new schedule very well. Tambra |
