Default Hubby home for 5 & 1/2 days!!

Hubby just left from being home for 5 and 1/2 days. It was sad to see him go but we had a really good time at home. We have been traveling so much, usually on a 5 days off we strike out to somewhere else. It was nice to be together AT HOME for so long.

His honey do list was quite long. We trimmed trees (we have 14 full grown trees that needed winter attention). We steamed clean area rugs. Rearranged funiture. We spent one day helping my BFF move to her new house (the reason we didn't plan a trip). We did some shopping together. I cooked breakfast, lunch, and dinner almost everyday.

It was so nice to do normal everyday home things together. I had almost forgotten how it felt. . .

Glad to hear you had such a great time with him!
Jim is only home a day and a half every 5 days. It sucks and I get really sad (aka grumpy lol) when he leaves

When dh is home for a while I get used to having another adult here and it is sad when he leaves. Life is always one adjustment after another.

I hear that! plus I don't have to clean house when he is home! but he does get all of the snuggle time from DS when he is home.

Oh yeah!! Well, I do still have to clean house (probably more-think he produces a lot of laundry lol) but the snuggle time is completely taken up by both DS's.

I totally understand -- being at home and doing normal things IS BLISS ! As much as we love to travel, these times at home are really special. We like to cook or grill all our meals too and just stay in comfy clothes all day. Its amazing how romantic just being at home with no agenda can be.

I'm so happy for you!
I absolutely love the feeling of being "normal" when he is home.

Happy to hear that you got to spend 5 days with him the pros and cons are always there when youre married to a pilot. Where you get to spend a few consecutive days with him, and just when you loving having him around, its time for him to go!!! and then theres no feeling when youre expecting them back and waiting anxiously for that cosy snuggle and tight hug!
