Red face Job did not tell me i would be on an overnight tonight

I am sooo ticked off....we (my company and my team) had a public meeting tonight up in bullhead city and my people (ie: TEAM incl project manager) neglected to tell me that we would be staying up there for the night...so i "had" nothing i needed until i went to wal-mart and bought *some* of the things i would normally use....

so hubby will probably be questioning why and if i'm telling the truth or not about not being at home tonight (since he's probably in Paris by now).

so...with that, what do i do? the project manager already apologized (to me) and there's absolutely nothing i can do about it now except for be extra prepared next time "just in case"....but this really has me peeved and the last thing i need is inconsistency on a personal level with dh.

my team lately has had incredibly bad communication....this is about the worst it's gotten besides one of our teammates not knowing she had to be at the public meeting until this past monday.. but at least she knew it would be overnight..whereas i, did not.

so i can prove i am where i am by the hotel cost and cost of supplies...but other than my project manager talking to dh...i really can't do much other than that.

so i'm thinking, in the least, if he becomes untrusting of me, i have no choice but to pull in my people (ie: project manager) and have him apologize for screwing everything up right??

has anyone else ever had this happen to them? cuz this is a first for me....
