Default Well, back to "alone time"

The only thing i hate about being alone is that it's just so darn quiet around the house. I can talk to doug everyday via chat, phone, video chat etc etc and it feels as though i haven't talked to him or anyone at all, any day of the week...

I wonder if this week will be any different?! he just left tonight for a redeye to JFK and already, i'm dreading the "quiet". normally, i don't dislike it being quiet.. sometimes (i guess just maybe those particular times of the month? ) i do...this is just one of those days where i really don't want to be alone in a quiet house for days on end. granted, it's only a week, that's really not too bad but it's just the circumstance of the whole thing, really.

I did what i needed to do today before doug left... i felt as though i hadn't gotten enough time with him this week, so i changed my schedule around and took the afternoon off (i'll go finish my week tomorrow morning). that helped some and it was definitely better than nothing...I do find that anytime "I" need something *more*, i know that i need to make it happen before doug leaves for work, so i try to do what i can to make that work to my advantage. I think i would have much rather enjoyed another full weekend with doug around and then him taking off on a monday for a week long trip but ya gotta work with what you have. Had i been able to (if i didn't have so much work), i probably would have tried to go to Rome with him this weekend. never been there but I'm still going to try and go to Romania next week, so i opted to stay home and get ahead at work so that i can take an extra day and make my flights work out so that i don't miss that Romania trip.

but eh, just ranting a bit before i go to bed...I find it's always good to get it out of your system before sleeping so that you can wake up to a new dawn in the morning. hopefully tomorrow morning will be better than this morning cuz i was all weird this morning (even had an allergy attack - dust probably)...but tomorrow's another day.. so off to bed i go!

thanks for hearing me gab...vent or whateva!

Even when someone else is home and sleeping, there's more "noise" there than when they're gone.

I want to be in a dust storm! Not with allergies, though. Uck.

ugh yea...you don't want these allergies... simply because of the dust in the air, my eyes and drainage system have gone HAYWIRE in the last 2 days!! i can't do anything about it because it's in the air. at this point, i can tell if i need to change my car/house filter or not...hahaha

time to get some claritin or something...

but i do find it kind of interesting how your emotions can play a major role when your not feeling 100%...

oh yeah , I understand Kristie !
Got about 3 hours of sleep last night , should have called me.
My Insomina is back ...worst !
DH will be home the 28th for a couple of days, then back to Texas, I was so angry with myself for not being able to sleep , even the cat got mad at me for tossing and turning so much.
The "time of the month" thing plays alot into too. I want him home but then I don't ..its weird...the whole PMS thing I guess
As far as the bumps in the night...I tend to hear them right outside my bedroom windows the most
Right after we got married , we had a ADT install a security system in the house, its been a relief , plus my roomate (male) comes home at 11:30 pm each night and I feel better he is on the other side of the house too.
I hate when I can hear "silence" thats why Music plays such a huge role in my life and its always on, no matter what I'm doing. I've often missed phone calls from DH because of its volume, but Its my comfort .

Kristie , its time to get out the "old stuff " cranking in the house .

I do the same thing. But only when both Lance and Trady are gone. Trayton makes enough noise to keep me happy. my thing is that I am a DEEP sleeper. I sleep so good when Lance is home b/c he wakes up at all the noises. When I am alone with Trayton, I feel like I can't sleep good, b/c I need to be able to wake up if needed. In fact we have a horrible habit of little one sleeping with me when daddy is gone, b/c I feel better falling into a deep sleep if i can feel him next to me.

I just sent Kidzilla out to CA for his "daddy time" yesterday. He'll be gone for an entire month. Aside from 5 days in June, this will be the first time I've been truely alone overnight since Aug '06 (last time he went to Dad's).

Last night was strange, with no one else around. I read a book for 4 hours and had ice cream for dinner Just when I get used to it, the kid will be coming home again.

I can totally relate. I start talking to myself- it's frightening .

Anyhow, you are the strongest among us- as I've learned a week flies by. Romania sounds so interesting! I'm jealous. I might go to Atlanta for an AF conference next week- kind of similar in terms of being exotic .

Hope there's some noise tonight!

Well, I am right with you. Dh left this am and I came home from work to an empty house. So here I sit in front of the computer trying not to feel sorry for myself. I will take 2 benadryl and go to bed. My allergies are going nucking futs . At least I wont have a sleepless night. Sometimes quiet nights are so fantastic, sometimes they just suck....
