I took my lunch early and walked with my friend. It was good to vent to someone. I'm feeling a little better, but I was already having a pretty crappy day and this didn't help.

With time, I'll get through this too.

Sorry about the news. I'm having some issues at my job so I can relate to what you're going through. I've been passed over jobs that I was perfect for (and was told so by mgt). Things happen for a reason, so don't beat yourself up over it.

I finally realized, after working for my company for 7 years, that it just isn't the right place for me. I'm on a search right now for a new job and probably a new type of career.

So sorry to hear about it Christine!! perhaps looking for something new outside of your current company would help? (and now for the cliche) remember, when one door closes, another opens but we often stand staring at the closed door for so long we don't realize other one is open.

well get this ..... my co-worker went to talk to my boss during lunch and told her what happened (I hadn't gotten the nerve yet).

She went to the guy I interviewed with and totally talked me up. It was the marketing dept that said "no" to me, so he's going to go try and figure out why and find a way to hire me!!

My boss totally surprised me and just got a bit more respect from me.
