Done with my presentation. I did really really well.

They were not shy about asking questions. Dr. A especially, but D asked a few as did M. There were 3 who were VERY quiet though and hardly said hello.

I was perfect for time. Started right at 1:30 and ended at 2:10. I was scheduled to 2:15.

I was nervous that I wasn't putting together the right information for the presentation. I was nervous that I would forget everything I learned the last 2 years. I still am nervous that I won't succeed at this job.

BUT It seemed to be what he wanted. He said that it was very informative and really good information. I put cute pictures of our pets (Bernard, Tibby, Kris, Belle, Pecola) in my presentation to force me to stop, see if there are any question. They were not shy about asking me questions in the middle of a sentance. Often not even pertaining to what I was talking about. I nailed every single question. I added info I didn't initially have in my presentation, for thoroughness.

Afterwards he said he's leaning in this direction, but needs to talk with M (the sales and marketing VP) C (the CEO) and the chem team. He's in a weird spot and he can't make the sole decision because of the nature of this position and what his team does. He said if he doesn't get back to me by the end of next week to hunt him down. I can do that! (Although I'm out of the office next Friday...)

I'm shaking more now than I was during the presentation.

I feel really good about this. I am sooooo ready to get out of tech support.

Long story short ..... I KICKED BUTT!!!!!

Thank you.

I will totally keep y'all in the loop when I hear from him.

If late next week you hear a really loud yippee scream from Cali ... you'll know why!

Thanks.

One of my co-workers said he went to talk to the VP who will be in on the decision and put in a good word for me. I have no idea if he's telling the truth. He could be. Another co-worker said she's gonna send subliminal messages of a dollar amount they should be paying me!

I'm kind of keeping it hush that I'm trying for this job, but it's getting difficult as I get more excited about it. And then the fact that I've been away from my desk quite a bit working on it.

I don't feel like going into details right now, because let's face it, I'm too emotional, but .... I didn't get the job. I think I got screwed and sabatoged.

I'm going out for a drink tonight.
