Default Anyone noticing any problems with the site?

Just want to check and see if anyone is seeing anything out of the ordinary..not working..or needs fixing...

I know you all might be a bit skeptical about posting again, esp since this type of thing has happened for the 2nd time this year now...but doug and I have decided that for the time being and until we find a new dedicated service provider, we're going to manually do database backups on our home computer so that we have a backup everyday in case we need it.

at least until we find a new provider and all....

We really are sorry about all of the problems we've had this year - it's been helluva year!! I can't wait to try new for next year.. haha

if anyone knows of a good managed or semi-managed dedicated server providers with respectible customer service and mirror servers/daily full backups, let me know cuz we're starting the search today....what happened was completely unacceptable and it doesn't warrant us continuing our business with these folks.

I did notice that a post I made the other day is gone. It was there and then the next day when the site was having problems it was gone when it came up again (it was under the NYE/NYD meal).

Thank you for all of your hard work Kristie. I'm sure it's frustrating for you when outside forces don't deliver.

Anyway, my important post in the Card sharing thread from 12/17 (Sunday) disappeared:

I took on too much at work and have been working everyday (including Thanksgiving) since November 6th. So, having broken out in hives from stress, I have decided that today:

I will wrap the gifts for the homeless kids we adopted at work.
I will wrap the gifts for my staff.
I will organize my cards to send.

BUT, I won't rush around like mad to get them out this week! On Sunday, I will drive to Atlantic City because DH has overnights there Sun-Wed. So, it suddenly hit me that I will have time to sit in a hotel room while he works and I can do it then!

I know you will understand!

And, right after I made that decision, a tremendous weight lifted off me and I felt so much better!

I'm not noticing anything out of the ordinary.

I also wanted to say thank you to you and Doug for EVERYTHING this year. It's been a great year on this board! Lots of new members, the MI meet-n-greet, Network JC! You're hard work isn't going unnoticed!!!

You guys work so hard on these sites, please don't feel bad! It was your host/server that let YOU down, not you guys letting us down!

I know....and we totally appreciate everyone's good thoughts, thanks and vibes...it REALLY helps us positively remember that these things are important, no matter how much time is involved! and even tho we feel let down by our company, we can't help but feel concerned that a lot of people aren't going to come back...esp after 2 meltdowns in 1 year...

people are starting to filter back in now but it's too slow for my comfort zone (esp on JC) and we know that if we're frustrated, you all are probably frustrated even more because you depend on US to keep the lights on...

but having ya'll come back and post is more thanks than we can ask for cuz we're really worried about the amount of ppl that are going to start their 12 step program! hahaha

the way i see it - next year even better!! new name change (no, i'm not giving it away but it'll be really REALLY good for membership ), more meet and greets, possibly 2 networkjc's (one in chicago, one in vegas) and NO server problems!! HAHA (besides, anything's gotta be better than what we've been thru this year...you can ONLY go up!)

Don't worry Kristie- we'll all come back! It's just the week before Christmas and most people are super busy right now. Give it time!

I am soooo excited to the changes to the site!

And i can't wait for the Secret Santa exchange tomorrow!
