Default New format question

Ok, so I'm not used to this new format yet...but I'm confused about something. When I log on, the lightbulbs next to the threads with new posts are yellow. I click on one to read it and when I go back to the front page, all of the yellow lightbulbs are gone. So I have to look at the dates to see what is new. Am I doing something wrong? On the old format, it would show new until I read that thread. Am I making sense? Thanks!

I think that's a bug in the system. the yellow light bulb is what shows you "new posts", when it turns off (clear color), it means all posts in that thread were read... but sometimes (and this happens on doug's board too)you don't finish reading the topics before the light bulbs turn off.. I'm searching for a fix to the problem.

In the meantime, try to read all the posts in one thread first, then move on to the next.. that will help you keep better track of postings.

In Doug's politics board, all the lights go off once you go into one folder. Then all the lights in all the folders are off. It's annoying. (although I haven't been there in a couple weeks, so he could have changed it by now)

It seems to have fixed itself for me, at least!
Thanks

his politics board is a different software forum all together (what i was using in fcapa)...so I think the fixes are done, but i'm tweeking, adding things and fixing minor errors here and there.. if you see something that stands out, let me know!

I'm checking on the lightbulb thing cuz i notice a few things too and it'll probably take me a few days or so since i'm also supposed to be studying!
