Kristi, how do I use the quote

Kristie, I see that some of you guys just quote sections, but when I use the quote, it gives me the entire post. so how do I get just the line that I want. I have tried highlighting(selecting) what i want then hitting the quote button, but I get the same result

there's no easy way, you just delete the portions you don't want.

if you want to do multiple quotes (other people and/or other posts), click on the multiquote button below for each person you want to quote and when you get to the last person, hit the regular quote button and it'll put all their posts into your post. but again, you'll have to delete the portions you don't want.

Any text/smilies that appear between the left bracket, quote= name of person, right bracket and the left bracket, /quote, right bracket will appear at the top of your new post.

The brackets are these: "[ " is the left bracket and "]" is the right bracket.
I originally used the real brackets above but it was 'quoting'!!
