login problems - Page 3

not fixed for me...i have to log it like 5 times...and then decided to post something and had to log in again! and yes, the news posts keep on showing up...boo...

I'm logged in fine on my laptop. When I went upstairs, I logged it. It said I was logged in but then it showed I wasn't. I deleted cookies, closed browser and logged in again, still then said I wasn't logged in. The minute I hit reply to this thread, it showed me as logged in.

After I posted this- I closed the browser, re-entered and it said I wasn't logged in (even though I had said "remember me"). Then I clicked on this thread again and I was logged in....hmmmm....

3 is my magic number. I have to login 3 times before I am recognized as a member and can post.

I can't login until I click "post reply." Then after it forces me to log in, I pretty much stay logged in until I log out.

that would be because i had to revert the style sheet which means any changes i had before like the new desk thing is now back to the way it was before it was fixed. now if the login problems are fixed, then i can go back in and do those changes again (i think).

well, looks like i have to go back to square one on the entire forum...turn off all my hacks, delete things like the chat and so forth... use the basic style that comes with VB.. so until this gets fixed, this website won't look or operate the same.

I'll be doing this over the weekend and the forum will be up... i'll need ya'll to let me know when you have problems and if you can be explicit in the details about the problem so that i can continue to troubleshoot and figure out what is going on. hopefully it'll only be thru the weekend and i'll have the full JG forum back up and running...

but anytime you have a problem logging in or what not over the weekend - PLEASE let me know so that i can rate it based on the troubleshooting.. if i can't figure it out, i'll be bringing th tech guys at VB in on it.

ok..i changed one setting...before i go changing more - somebody do a login/logout test and let me know if you have problems getting in.

well, doug and I aren't having any problems logging in anymore on all 3 of our computers... so i'm going to leave it as is so i don't have to go thru all the changes the tech guys want me to do.

IF you do still continue to have problems, please let me know so i can keep troubleshooting!

I still have to log in 3-4 times to get it to work, but I can always get in.
