We won't be able to make it. Maybe the Vegas one. Have to see. That weekend is in the middle of DH's 12 days off in a row and we possibly will have my stepson back living with us, so we will be getting him adjusted and I may be in Phoenix while DH is giving him an attitude adjustment, he is 16. 16 and attitude adjustment! Oh Lori--just wait! You have so many years of torture ahead of you! I was planning to leave early Saturday since Charlie had an overnight in ACY. Not. At 5 AM the phone rings. It's the police. They had our darling child. He was asleep in the car on the side of the road. Fortunately he turned off the car so he wasn't arrested. I had heard of someone who left it on to have the heat working who was arrested because they were technically operating the vehicle. So, he told me to pick him up since he wasn't fit to drive. I did and we drove home. When I opened the garage door, Mr. Brilliant said, "Where's the car?" On the road where you left it. "But I need to pick up John for work at noon." So at 11 AM I started trying to wake him. It took 45 minutes. He threw up a few times. Then we picked up the car and he went off to pick up the co-worker. See what you have in store?????

Then I went to ACY. Charlie used my connections and got reservations at Suilan at the Borgata. It was wonderful and they comped us appetizers and wine. Then he surprised me since I just got a new job and gave me a necklace made from my two favorite elements: Pt and C! Wow!

OMG ROZ! That is terrible. Thankfully my SS stayed with his mother! PHEW! I will post about it later but thankfully he is not with us for my sanity's sake anyway.
I remember I was dating a guy years ago and his dad told me about how he came home drunk at 16 and his punishment for it. He made him take all the money out of his bank account, and buy alcohol with it. Then the two of them, the guy and his dad, remember he was 16, sat and drank and drank. He made him spend it all on alcohol and he drank until he was throwing up! When I met him he was 22 and had only had a couple beers casually here and there, he learned his lesson!

Evan is 20. He will be 21 in July. He has been quite a challenge. He has an IQ of 147 and is ADD/I/WO (ADD without hyperactivity). It is so terribly frustrating. He keeps reminding me, however, that it is all about the journey. Fortunately, he won't be following Dad's career path!

So kind of getting this thread back on track, the ski trip went off with only a few minor glitches, namely the rental car wouldn't make it up to our condo so we had to go back and get an SUV. John and I met up with and shared a condo with 4 other people, 3 from JC (Stultus, FL270 and Montanapilot) It was a ton of fun, we did some awesome skiing. Here now, for your viewing pleasure are a couple of pictures. The rest can be found at http://www-personal.umich.edu/~egalopin/JCSkiTrip/.

From left to right, is me, John (John Herreshoff), Michelle (TheWife), Corbin, Russ (FL270), Kelly (montanapilot), Joe (fly22), and Mat (stultus).

This is our last night in Park City, Mat, me, John, Russ and Dave. Dave is a random friend of John's who decided on a whim to drive out to Utah from Michigan. He drove straight through, 24 hours to get there.

This is a picture of all the guys out skiing (I'm not in it cause I'm the genius behind the camera!) Kelly, Mat, Russ, John and Dave

We all had a wonderful time and michelle is a great cook. you should put the recipe for that alfredo sauce on to the the recipe thread!

Great pictures! It looks like it was a lot of fun. There will be no skiing for my pregnant self, until next season. I'm glad you posted the pictures... it's good to live vicariously through others...
