| Kristie, You seriously want to go to India? I have a friend that flies for Korean Air who does 6 day overnights in Bombay (or whatever it is called now). He left the hotel one time and will never again! He said it is so filthy dirty, people go to the bathroom in the street (both numbers). There is so much pollution it is like walking into a bar filled with cigar smoke. At least the hotel they stay in, and I'm sure Delta must stay at a similar place, is a 5 star beautiful place. I know he has gone to some beach there but it's a long way from the actual city. He said that was really nice, but hates going there and will never leave the hotel again. Of course maybe that's just one person's opinion. But I did hear Dubai was very nice! |

gotta go to everywhere at least once and say "i was there"...I even plan to go to Johannesburg and even if i stay in the hotel and walk out the door once, at least i was there! hahaha i hear once you get to the outskirts of the city, it's quite nice. having water bottles will be harsh but you do the same thing in mexico...it's eating the food i want to try, hopefully i won't get sick on it! but you can't be afraid to do things even if they're kinda nasty...life is different over there and it'll be a wakeup call to just how good i have it over here! ![]() even if i come back really disliking the trip, heck at least i had the opportunity to go and took it!

| Jetgirls Ol' School Member | DH had a jumpseater recently that was telling him some strange stories about India. I guess this guy overnights there alot. He said that when people die they just leave them on the street and a couple of days a week the go and collect the "dead" bodies and burn them. Since they dont' believe death is it for them no body blinks when they see this hapen. He said the smell on the days when they burn...... |

| Jetgirls Ol' School Member | When DH was telling me that I couldn't believe it! Can you imagine walking around and seeing them put the bodies in the cart? Never mind what it must smell like on the "burning" days..... |

| Admin/Owner ![]() | I have a hard time believing that...what city did he say that was in? I'll have to ask my indian coworkers as all 3 are from different sides of india what's funny is that one of the guys i work with lives near the Taj Mahal and yet, has never been there. he says it's mostly for out of country tourists and is "just" a touristy thing.
