when the ticket agent hands you your seat request/connection information - make sure you check your flight numbers and connection locations...esp if you have a traveling partner with you

when we were in Frankfurt this past weekend, the ticket agent (whether intentionally or unintentionally) sent doug and I from FRA-CVG, which was correct... BUT once we got to CVG, we didn't notice that she'd sent doug from CVG-SLC-PHX and me from CVG-PHX...

so, in essence, the luggage I checked in went from FRA-CVG-PHX, whereas the luggage doug checked in went from FRA-CVG-SLC-PHX thereby not arriving till AFTER our phx arrival which meant I had to pick up the luggage separately the next day....

altho we could change doug from actually flying that route, we could not change our baggage.. and had we checked that information, we would have caught it but we never, in our minds eye, ever thought the ticket agent would send us two different routes since we were flying together...

weird, but it happened!! so, just a word to the wise!

oh also, if your flying DAL, the FRA gate agents can be downright mean...don't expect them to be nice to you esp if your non-revving!! three times now, we've been dissed by the gate agents out of FRA. not to mention having to go thru security TWICE.. and the second time, they WILL touch ALL of you....that's just how it works there...if your squeemish about that, too bad!

anyone else have any nonrev tips that need to be known by everyone?
