Default Boston

We just went to Boston for the weekend. My brother had given us 2 free nights at the Embassy Suites that he won at work and wasn't able to use. It was awesome! We used his JetBlue buddy passes too so we avoided flying on CAL thru EWR (yuck). We've flown on JetBlue several times and I was very happy with them. The hotel was pretty much on the airport, we could walk to the airport T stop. The breakfast was awesome. I wasn't too impressed with the happy hour. Due to MA state law they cannot give free or reduced alcohol (not really a big deal) but the snacks weren't all that impressive. Boston is an awesome city to visit, especially if you know where you are going! It's just so darn expensive!

Thanks Roz. We had a nice time but Billy ended up getting sick on Saturday night, then I got sick when we got home. Oh well, it was still a nice time.

Boston is one of those cities that everyone should go to.. whether or not it's expensive

the history there is just really something... seeing the colonial type townhouses & oldtyme ships and going to some of the authentic boston ale bars and/or irish bars is definately worth the experience...the seafood there (esp oysters) is REALLY good!!

please say you did at least get some legal seafood clam chowder!!!

sorry you both got sick tho...that would put a damper on things!

My sis used to live near Boston in Watertown but I only visited her once. It was such a great city. I also really enjoyed the lobster at Legal Seafood!

No, we didn't eat at Legal Seafood. I love chowder but get very sick from clams! When lived in NH I went down to BOS a couple times a week. I know my way around there more than DH! There is pizza place I always wanted to try, it's almost on the airport,Santarpio's. It is a complete local dive bar/restaurant but the pizza was great. We got it to go since we had Billy with us.

Gee that sounds a lot like my town! Except we have a few other silly things here like a cracked bell, crackly old declaration of independence, less crackly old constitution, an old flag or two, etc, etc.... LOL! So when Amanda moves east, we should have a Philly get together!
