but still... new years eve party is at our house this year for anyone whose looking for some fun! we've got plenty of floor room and hotels around the area!! we're going all out for this one since the last time he was off for the holidays was in 1995. Move up? Hardly. He couldn't even hold Christmas off on reserve. He got a line, but he's working every weekend, including Christmas and New Years.

Oh well.

I'd be all there for New Year's Kristie - if I didn't have to go back to Cali early enough.

Awesome schedule for Doug. Have fun in Germany!

geez, guess we just got lucky with the holiday schedule this time! someone must be looking out for our sanity for a change!

Sorry Amber! I for sure would have thought with all the early retirements that most of the guys would be moving up!

Well, he held a line in the actual bid awards, so that's a positive! He had been in SRL territory for quite some time. I think a lot of guys bid reserve for Christmas off, so that's why he got an actual line in the bid awards.

I sure hope a whole butt-load of guys bail with retirements. If I were in their shoes, I'd have done it months ago.

Things will keep moving. Slowly but surely. They always do.

That's great Doug got it off though! Sweet!

I love when schedules turn out to be better than expected. This year, DH finishes a trip on christmas eve so hopefully he will be able to commute home but it is going to be tough. then he has christmas day off and two days off after that. right now he finishes a trip on new years but hopefully he will be able to make the commute home for that too. if not, i'll be on the last flight down to houston to meet him and we'll just get a hotel or something. Have a great time in Frankfurt!

that's what my dh's schedule is like to! I told him that i'm going to remind him to grab the jumpseat 3 days ahead of time so he can be home for xmas eve!

Frankfurt's going to be fun! loads still looking really good.. we're staying in a hotel near the hauptbahnhof (main train station) in Mainz.. small town about 30 minutes from Frankfurt... I expect I'll be heading around town looking for a wine store (gonna store up for the holidays) and a music store to grab some CD's (ya know, you can't even buy international music on Itunes!)...

so it should be fun!!

Have a great time Kristie! It sounds like a fun experience.

Charlie got his schedule yesterday and got his second choice. He's off for all the important events of the month (he was last year too--so go figure). So we have the holidays and another year of celebrating New Year's at Susanna Foo's!

Now he's trying to decide whether or not to bid for the Airbus. That would mean new training starting in early January. I think it's a good thing because they are ditching the MD 80's so everyone has to learn how to fly the Airbus anyway!

that's what doug is thinking too! ditching the MD80 for possibly an international route. with so many early retirements, he figures least he can do is try for it! hahaha

or at least bid a closer base!

so what/where is Susanna Foo's? sounds interesting! If your looking to get out of town for New Years, we're having a big bash at our house this year! ya'll are welcome to join us! we've pretty much invited most/all from Jetcareers too...who knows, we might have a pretty good turnout!

so we're leaving tomorrow morning... for the next few days, keep in tune with the pix page.. I'll send as many photos as I can during the trip! we'll be back on sunday.. and then I expect to see some clean house photos from Biochemtine!
