This is pretty cool...my sister sent it over wondering if we could get a discount somewhere else and i'm thinking not since it's the first time i've seen it.

anyone know if you can find it elsewhere cheaper? Looks like price is about $75

You think that is something for private flight as well? Would it connect to a lap belt?

I'm sure it would work on a private plane as well. The strap around the seat is something to secure the shoulder harness to. I don't think the actual seat tray plays any part in the security. If it did, it would prevent the person behind you from lowering their tray and that probably wouldn't fly with them. It's an interesting concept. If you have multiple kids, I can see how it would be easier than trying to bring along multiple carseats, esp. if you are traveling alone.
